Cancellations & Refunds Policy
Last updated 29 September 2026
Translation and interpreting are bespoke services produced to your specific document and requirements. This policy sets out, plainly, what you can expect if you need to cancel, and the quality guarantee that applies to every project.
1. Cancelling before work begins
If you cancel before we've started work on your document, you receive a full refund, with no charge. "Before work begins" means before a translator has started producing your translation — during the quote stage, or immediately after checkout if you change your mind straight away.
2. Cancelling once work is in progress
Once a translator has started your document, cancelling means we charge pro-rata for the work already completed — assessed by the word count or proportion of the document already delivered or in progress — rather than the full order. We'll tell you the pro-rata amount before finalising the cancellation.
3. No refund after correct delivery — and why
Once we've delivered a translation that correctly reflects your source document, it's not eligible for a refund. Under Spanish consumer law (Art. 103.a and 103.m of the TRLGDCU), the statutory right of withdrawal that normally applies to online purchases does not apply to goods or services made to your specifications or clearly personalised, and to digital content supplied on a durable medium once performance has begun with your express prior consent. A translation of your specific document is exactly this kind of bespoke, made-to-order service. At checkout, you'll be asked to give your express, informed consent to this before your order is placed. This doesn't affect your right to a free correction under Section 4 below.
4. Our quality guarantee — free correction within 14 days
If you find an accuracy or formatting error in your delivered translation, tell us within 14 days of delivery and we'll correct and re-issue it free of charge. This applies to every service on this site, whether ordered online or via quote.
5. Official third-party fees
Where we pay an official fee on your behalf — such as an apostille, notary or postage fee, as part of our Apostille & Legalisation Support service — that fee is non-refundable once paid to the relevant registry, college or ministry, because it's a third-party charge outside our control, not our own service fee. Our own coordination fee follows Sections 1–2 above.
6. Interpreting bookings — a separate cancellation scale
Interpreting is a reserved time slot, not a document — an interpreter has set aside that time for you specifically, so it carries its own scale:
| When you cancel or reschedule | Charge |
|---|---|
| More than 72 hours before the booking | Free — full refund |
| Within 72 hours of the booking | 50% of the booking price |
| Within 24 hours of the booking | 100% of the booking price |
7. How to cancel
Email support@amazing-translations.com with your order reference, or call +34 602 038 010 during office hours (Mon–Fri 08:00–18:00, Sat 09:00–16:00 (office)). We'll confirm the outcome in writing.
8. Refund method and timing
Refunds are returned by the same payment method used for the order (bank transfer, in the normal course of business) within a reasonable time of the cancellation being confirmed, generally within 14 calendar days.
